Every Arizona License Plate Society meet has it’s own display theme to encourage a wide variety of displays at the various meets. In general, we offer three awards per theme - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Each winner receives a custom license plate display award and a voucher good for free admission to a future ALPS meet.

We welcome displays of any kind at any meet. If you wish to be considered for an award, you must be an ALPCA member in good standing and bring a license plate display that is “on-topic” with the theme of the given meet. The display theme is included on each meet flyer or can be obtained by contacting us at info@alpsclub.us.

Please be aware, the Arizona License Plate Society does NOT follow ALPCA convention standards for display judging criteria. We’ve discovered not every collector has $100,000 plate collections and we instead have our own process that we believe places less emphasis solely on value. The ALPS method puts more emphasis on the creativity and educational effort the display offers, thereby making the process of bringing a license plate display accessible for all of our diverse members and collections. The exact criteria and instructions given to the judges is available on the .pdf document below. If you will be bringing a display to an ALPS meet and winning is important to you, we encourage you to become familiar with our judging process.

Lastly, it is important to remember this is a hobby where we all have fun. Displays are a fun way to show off your collection and help educate us all on your plate knowledge and creativity. It also can serve to inspire new members to take an interest in a particular aspect of our hobby. We hope you will bring a display to a future meet, we would love to see part of your collection!
